I consider teaching an integral part of philosophical reflection and deliberation. Common questioning and inquiry of a subject matter through Socratic deliberation, tailored to the demands of the learning context, has always been my preferred approach to teaching, regardless of my interlocutors’ age or level of education.
I have taught several courses at higher education institutions in both the US and Turkey, as well as volunteer classes in both countries on various subjects to students ranging from middle school to graduate level, from 2001 onwards.
I was also heavily involved in undergraduate advising at Istanbul Commerce University from 2011 to 2014, alongside mentoring college and graduate students in different capacities at various settings.
Additionally, I worked as the Erasmus coordinator for the Faculty of Commercial Sciences between 2013-2015, and the Bologna Coordinator of the whole university between 2015 until my dismissal from Istanbul Commerce University in February 2016.
I hope to continue with my teaching career for many more decades in the US.
